English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Sports Star of the Year award.

The three finalists have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the last year.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a national radio breakfast show.

The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday, 18 December.

The show will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT.

The Football Star

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She was introduced as a substitute to score crucial late equalisers in both the last eight and last four matches.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the top young European talent.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"Being nominated for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - while still 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

He didn't stop there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, smashing the previous record.

"To receive a nomination for the honour once more is a big honour," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a highlight for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and surged to prominence with an remarkable and historic innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin came in second place in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
