President Trump announced on Sunday that he has invited the loved ones of a National Guard member killed last week to attend the presidential home.

He mentioned that he conversed with her family and they were “deeply grieving”.

US army specialist Beckstrom, 20, was lost her life in a shooting on Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her fellow service member, Andrew Wolfe, 24, remains hospitalized in critical condition.

The president explained he’s talked about a meeting at the presidential residence for the loved ones of both individuals of the West Virginia National Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a hard experience, visit the White House. We’re going to honor her,” Trump told the press. “And similarly with Andrew, recover or not.”

Attendees gathered over the weekend at Webster County high school in West Virginia to honor Sarah.

Both the soldiers had been serving with the military unit as part of Trump’s government program to assist policing efforts in Washington DC.

“She was the type of pupil that educators wished for. She conducted herself with inner fortitude, a bright grin and a upbeat demeanor that encouraged those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the leader of her previous school, told the press. “She was kind, compassionate and always eager to support those in need.”

Funeral arrangements for Sarah are in the process of planning.

Authorities have indicted a twenty-nine-year-old individual from Afghanistan with one count of homicide and charges of assault with intent to kill while armed.

“She had a lot of kindness and she definitely had fortitude,” he informed the gathering at the vigil. “Though her time lasted far too short, she has left a mark that’s going to last forever.”
