Starting with the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers before the game's launch, to trainers developing firm views on the entire roster of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to anticipate.

Given many of the Super Forms showcasing distinctive designs that emphasize their personalities, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? This list is inspired by a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for this fire sign, as they are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. While dependable, both the creature and a Bull are also battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position to the end. What about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Several previous Pokédex entries note their fondness for sweet tree sap and how it uses its horn to collect it everything, which is true Taurus energy.

The Twins – Super Medicham

Look at this absolute royalty. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the life of any gathering, offering an constant stream of chatter to those who wants to hear. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's very simple to imagine Mega Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their tales. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also mentions its ability to predict an opponent's future actions, which seems quite like a people-smart Gemini.

The Crab – Mega Manectric

The Crab is commonly considered as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a passionate sign famous for often getting absorbed in their feelings. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution fills the creature with a “huge quantity of energy, but it's excessive for Manectric to completely manage,” which sounds a lot like a typical Crab emotional outburst. Oh, did you think I was planning to select Pyroar for the king of the zodiac? Besides the fact that it would be far too on the nose, The Lion is obviously Super Starmie, the diva whose gams just went viral for being too fabulous (or terrifying, based on your preference). Players couldn’t look away from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the same vibe a Leo brings to the table. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its center out into space, and it’s just like a Leo to be staging a performance, even if for extraterrestrials.

Virgo – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Maiden is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual digestive issues. The sign known for being charmingly critical is clearly reflected across this creature's whole lineage, from a always surprised expression like a Maiden when you inform them you don’t have a 401(k), to its upside-down visage that’s just like the emoji a Maiden sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a plan.

Libra – Mega Audino

Observe this gentle, sensitive being, who uses the feelers on its ears to tell how others are emotionally by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – occasionally to a detriment – and striving to keep the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would likely appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them stress even more about others.

Scorpio – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained consciousness through pure hatred and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Super Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Each Super Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a show. As a Sagittarius myself, the amount of occasions I’ve called myself some version of a “playful little jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Archer match I can think of.

Capricorn – Mega Absol

Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the power to foresee disasters in advance? That exudes the exact same vibe as a Goat, who often consistently think they’re right. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to get in on the ground floor of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Aloof air sign Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame sign that is closest to a flame symbol – its sister sign is Leo, and there are numerous jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices.
