Vince Zampella, the mind behind the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in the state of California he was 55 years old.

The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.

The influential game designer lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday, as reported by.
